How to get the longest life out of my Bear Down Steel?
  • Twist the lid to open, DO NOT PULL or TWIST THE CLIP.
  • Make sure the seal is intact at the top of the lid. (Loose or cracked seals will cause the bottle to leak and kill the bottle quickly).
  • Make sure the lid is on TIGHT after each use.
  • Shake before each use and hit the bottom of the bottle (to get everything at the bottom of the bottle).
  • You do not have to completely remove the lid. (Cracking the top can hit just as strong).
  • Always remember to keep the bottle a full arm's length away from your face!!!
What are smelling salts?

Ammonia Smelling salts for weight lifting have been used for decades in boxing, lifting, and other professional sports.

Zone Smelling Salts come in a powder form (ammonium carbonate ((NH4)2CO3H2O)).  When water is introduced with the ammonium carbonate, ammonia gas is released.

Look at our activation method above to determine if you need to activate your salts, or if it is already done for you.

Users of Zone Smelling Salts must also be aware of the following:

SHELF LIFE

Shelf Life: Around 6 months. Once initially opened the lifespan of smelling salts can last anywhere from 1-6 months depending how many times they get used/opened.

The more often fresh oxygen is reintroduced into the bottle the faster it’ll dry out and lose potency.*

IMPORTANT NOTES

KEEP OUT OF PROLONGED OR EXTREME HEAT AND COLD!

Make sure to give the bottle a tap and shake before each use, this will allow the ammonia gas to rise to the top, giving you a clean and potent hit.

The strength is insane

I have never had a smelling salt bottle that could blow my nostrils out like this one. Truly insane! Would definitely recommend to any lifters or athletes who want some strong salts!

Awesome

This is by far the best smelling salt I’ve used. I could smell it in the mailbox before I even opened it! Haha. Wonder what the mailman thought when he delivered it. I love the metal container, it’s not only pretty, but very sturdy and keeps my smelling salts fresh. I also love that it’s eucalyptus scented 🐨.

Went on accidental conquest

I was getting ready to bust out some reps, and breathed in that sweet, spicy aroma of Steel Blood. I woke up 2 weeks later in a distant, foreign land standing on a mound of my enemies’ rotting corpses. A new civilization where everyone lifts and lives in complete solitude was already being raised with some dude with bigger muscles than me as its ruler. In the distance, the sun was setting. I saw Ronnie Coleman surrounded by women squatting 800 pounds for a third rep. We made eye contact, and I knew with his affirming nod that the wind had carried that sweet scent to his respiratory system, igniting his senses in a way the likes of which he had never felt. Without uttering a word, we both knew this was what we had been looking for all these years. It was around this time that my sinuses stopped burning, and I came to write this review. 10/10 would recommend.

Finally I can breathe

All my life, I’ve struggled with taking a full, satisfying breath without consciously forcing it. It’s something I’ve just gotten used to, until I tried Zone Bear Down Steel-Blood. The first time I used it, I was floored. For the first time in years, I could take a deep, effortless breath. And not just once, hours after I am able to take full, satisfying breathes. Relief for the first time in decades.

But Zone isn’t just a game changer for my breathing; it’s also become part of my daily routine. After mowing lawns all day and being exposed to heavy pollen, my sinuses usually feel clogged and inflamed. Zone completely clears that out. One solid inhale and I feel reset, like my head’s been power-washed from the inside.

Zone Blood is now something I keep close by, not for hype, not for powerlifting, but for real-life relief. It’s not just smelling salts; for me, it’s a breath of freedom.
