What are smelling salts?
Ammonia Smelling salts for weight lifting have been used for decades in boxing, lifting, and other professional sports.
Zone Smelling Salts come in a powder form (ammonium carbonate ((NH4)2CO3H2O)). When water is introduced with the ammonium carbonate, ammonia gas is released.

SHELF LIFE
Shelf Life: Around 6 months. Once initially opened the lifespan of smelling salts can last anywhere from 1-6 months depending how many times they get used/opened.
While it is helpful for the ammonia to interact with fresh oxygen*, the more the bottle is used and the longer the lid is off the bottle - the faster the potency will fade.
*If you don't plan on using your Zone very often, still give the bottle a quick crack and reseal every couple weeks. This new introduction of fresh oxygen will help maximize the life of your bottle. Otherwise the ammonia can suffocate.
IMPORTANT NOTES
KEEP OUT OF PROLONGED OR EXTREME HEAT AND COLD!
Make sure to give the bottle a tap and shake before each use, this will allow the ammonia gas to rise to the top, giving you a clean and potent hit.

This stuff is potent. Took a good wiff when I first got it and it opened my sinuses wide open. Used it a few times in the gym and itll help you push through that last set, when you're absolutely smoked and fighting to just stay conscious.

The Best Smelling Salts I've Tried
In the past two years I've lost slightly over 100lb and discovered a love for Strongman competitions in the process of starting my lifting journey. I used Westside Barbell's SSs up until this point but they were quick to lose efficacy, and their bottles always seemed to crack apart in my gym bag. I found this company selling at one of my competitions and the difference is literally INSANE. -These salts are INSANE.- You have to be incredibly careful especially when new, Norse Blood is Meth-levels of potency but easier on my sinuses than other brands at the same time in terms of overall recovery.
I've broken several plateaus since starting these and they're now my standard salts moving forward. Having tried a couple other salts from Zone, I would recommend Norse Blood as a solid middle ground option in terms of potency. If you inhale them wrong you will absolutely mess up your set and feels equivocal to getting stabbed in the face, however if used as directed they're a critical tool in helping me train. As another reviewer said, it feels like a cheat code having these in the gym. I train 6 days a week and use them a couple times a day, and they seem to last me 6-8 months before I need to reorder.
Lastly, the price is slightly higher than the competition but the quality is definitively noticeably better when directly compared. The shipping was also impressively fast as well.

Things absolutely SMACK you in the face
I’ve used smelling salts but bro I was NOT ready for these things. Couldn’t smell at first (should’ve waited a second to let it drift up) so I put it up near my nose and took way too big of a sniff. I kid you not, I involuntarily cried for 10 min and could feel the burn for a good 25. However, these things are fantastic, you can get exactly how much you need once you understand how to use them. And they ALWAYS have more to give if you need more. These things are great and I will be buying them again.

Well, ill start by saying I was not prepared and did not notice the warning on the website about opening at arms length. I decided to open the bottle and take a full on nasal inhale... It was comparable to being shot in the face. After forcefully emptying every millimeter of my sinus cavity while tears uncontrollably poured from my eyes for 15 minutes, I can confidently say the product works.
Even with the cap closed and lighly sniffing the bottle you will get blasted. I've been through the police academy and I can say hands down this stuff hits harder than pepper spray or tear gas.
And best of all, the fact I dont even have to open the bottle to be brutally assaulted means this should last me years!
